Geocache Description:

The cache is located along highway 24 around mile marker 51 in grass, sagebrush and lava rock terrain. It should be fairly easy to find.

The cache is in a green 30 cal. ammo can.
The place where the cache is hidden is at a wide spot in the road ON THE WAY from Rupert to Shoshone or ON THE WAY from Shoshone to Rupert. Depends on which way you are going.
This wide spot in the road is used by the Idaho Transportation Departments roving WEIGH station (Port Of Entry)that moves around trying to catch the truck drivers that are overweight on the states highways.
This particular spot is rather popular as a rest stop for people traveling back and forth on highway 24 and should give fellow geocachers a chance to stretch their legs and seek a cache at the same time.
If you geocache here at night you can sit back and listen to the coyotes howl and the whistle of the trains as they speed along the mainline. Much wildlife is also seen in this area.
I am hoping this spot will also make it easier for geocachers to keep travel bugs moving along to their destinations.
