nctreker: This one had a really nice run but the changes to the paintings in Durham have brought this one to the end of the line. Thanks to all that discovered Durham.

Geocache Description:

In the 1990’s Downtown Durham Inc. commissioned a series of wall murals to be painted throughout the downtown area. This multi-cache takes you by the remaining murals and provides a nice perspective on downtown Durham. The entire series can be walked or driven. Walking will probably total around 6 miles. If you do choose to walk I'd suggest parking in a central location near the old Durham Bulls Athletic Park. You'll probably still want to drive to the last location, since you need special equipment to log this cache. If you choose to drive, weekends may be preferable for parking.

At each mural you’ll gather enough information to take you to the next mural in the series. Logging this cache takes Durham's flair for the arts to the next level. You’ll have the opportunity to add your own art to the community. In the process, you’ll be signing the largest geocaching logbook I’m aware of. I recommend you have paint and/or markers before heading out. The rules for logging are simple.

1. You must sign your geocacher ID and date anywhere on the logbook. It’s okay to overwrite other “entries”.
2. You must take a photo of your signature and post it with your online log.
3. Extra credit and a budding career in art are awarded to anyone who can recreate a signature item on the logbook.
