This is a conventional cache which is reached by a scenic walk through a nature reserve of indigenous fynbos,protea and shrubs.
The cache is situated in the Fernkloof Nature Reserve in Hermanus,Western Cape. Turn off the main road that passes through this seaside town into the reserve and park at the parking area at the information office. Maps showing the paths and walks in the reserve are available in the office. The cache is at the top of Lemoen Kop. There are a few routes to the cache site but the most scenic is around the front of Lemoen Kop,with the sea view. The cache is a small white screw top jar holding the following items:

Logbook and pen
Papermate ballpoint pen
Box of pencil crayons
Bath salts
Tiger
Tortoise
Toy soldier to guard the cache
Happy hunting! The walk takes from 30 to 45 minutes depending on the route you choose and you are likely to see whales playing in the bay below during Spring and Summer.
