I suggest you park at the National Trust car park on Ranmore Common, located at: 51 14.404N 000 23.198W
From here there are many routes through the forest to the cache. The most straightforward way is to take the bridleway south (through the gate) at the edge of the car park and follow this path straight down until you reach the North Downs Way which is signed with a marker post.
Turn right here and the path will take you to the cache.
The reason you are here is the view located at: 51 13.799N 000 23.966W. This is excellent chalk grassland typical of the downs landscape. Much of this land is owned by the National Trust, whose policy is to graze the Downs in order to maintain the variety and value of the grassland.
The cache is really close to here, located at: 51 13.789N 000 23.998W. You are looking for a green ammo box.
The North Downs Way which is a 141 mile National Trail which links Farnham to Dover. This part follows the Old Drove Road which is also called The Pilgrim’s Way in memory of people using the route on a pilgrimage to Canterbury.
