Tricky Junction is an easy multi-cache. Both stages of the cache are snow proof and wheelchair accessible. Neither the clues nor the cache are located within a restricted area.
The coordinates on top of this page are the starting point. This is close to a busy intersection, so watch your step. The large building to the north, across the busy street, is known as Majorstuhuset. This is the headquarters of the old Holmenkolbanen suburban train system, but due to the constant reorganising, name changes, and general lack of long term planning within Oslo's public transport system, this place has lost much of its former glory.
The same factors have made necessary a total remake of the cache description, although the cache itself is in the same place as always.
Walk across the street, up the main stairs and through to the north side. Turn left at the ticket gates, no need to go in. This part of the station area is dominated by a large statue of a historic person important to the theme of this cache. If his first name and last name both begin with the same letter, you are in the right spot. Some of the numbers found on the statue will help you establish the coordinates for the cache, which is located at N 59°55.xxx E 010°42.yyy
Find the year the statue was unveiled. Subtract 1096 to get xxx. Then, still using the year, subtract 1045 to get yyy. You are now ready to hunt down the cache. Please do not cross the tracks. There is no need to enter the restricted zone, as the cache is hidden outside it. If caught in the restricted zone without the necessary documents, you will get fined.
