Check out the Orangtown Historical Museum at the Salyer House and then creep into the woods behind it for the cache.
Here's my 2nd attempt at hiding a cache. The first one is just down the road, so have a go at it too. Park in the gravel area on the left. Going straight will only lead you to a circle driveway.
Cache is a clear plastic Sunkist pistachio jar with a white lid hidden in the woods between the Blue Hill golf course (you'll see all the golf balls) and the museum. From the cache site, you should be able to see the reservoir (Lake Tappan) especially in the fall and winter seasons. Explore right behind the museum for some old mill stones, or sit and picnic. A tribute to a fallen trooper is there too. The museum is open on Sundays from 1pm-4pm and Tuesdays from 9am-2pm.
Be careful of the soft dirt and erosion so please tread lightly.
