Dieser Cache bestand von 2003 - 2012 aus einem original Schweizer Bankschliessfach (ca. 40cmx25cmx5cm), welches sich auf dem Chasseral (1609m) befand. Der Chasseral ist der höchste Berg im schweizer Jura.
Am original UBS-Bankschliessfach hat der Zahn der Zeit gewaltig genagt. Nach 9 Jahren war nur noch ein Haufen Rost übrig geblieben. Von der original Box ist noch die Frontabdeckung im neuen Cache enthalten. Der Rest musste entsorgt werden. Die schweizer Banken sind leider auch nicht mehr das was sie mal waren ;-).
Auf den Chasseral gelangt man per Auto von Nods oder St-Imier aus. Für die Zufahrt zum Parkplatz muss evt. eine Gebühr bezahlt werden. Von St-Imier aus fährt auch ein Postauto hie und da mal auf den Chasseral.
Die sportlichen Abenteurer können von St-Imier aus durch die Combe Crete auf den Chasseral gelangen, wobei dies eine längere aber sehr lohnenswerte Tageswanderung ist.
Von Chasseral aus hat man eine herrliche Aussicht über das Schweizer Mittelland und die "Drei-Seen-Region". Bei guter Fernsicht hat man ein super Panorama der Alpen.
Warnung: Da sich der Cache auf rund 1600m über Meer befindet, kann es schwierig bis unmöglich sein, diesen in den Wintermonaten zu finden. Der Chasseral hat im Winter regelmässig Schnee. Zudem ist die Privatstrasse auf den Chasseral im Winter gesperrt.

From 2003 - 2012 this cache consisted of an original swiss bank safe deposit box (40cmx25cmx5cm) which was located on Chasseral (1609m). The Chasseral is the highest mountain in the swiss Jura.
The original UBS bank safe deposit box was eaten up by the rust. After 9 years just a rusty pile remained. The front part of the orginal box is still contained in the new plastic box. The Swiss banks are no longer the quality they were some years ago ;-).
You can get on Chasseral by car, either from Nods or St-Imier. You have to pay to get to the parking place on top. From St-Imier there is a postalcar which goes from time to time on Chasseral.
The sporty adventurers can walk from St-Imier through the Combe Crete up to the Chasseral. This is a longer day walk, but it is very worthy.
From Chasseral you have a superb view over the swiss Mittelland and the region of the three lakes. On clear days you have a beautiful view on the swiss alps.
Warning: The cache is about 1600m over sea level. It can be difficult or even impossible to find this cache in the winter months. Chasseral has during the winter often snow. The private road onto the top of Chasseral is closed during winter.
