lighthouse with your GPSr clearly visible. When logging this cache
include the photo with your log entry.
The other way to log this cache is to answer the following
questions and e-mail me the answers at carriemullins@hotmail.com,
and gvnagei@bigfoot.com to make sure that I get your answers.
- What is the year that lighthouse construction began? Found
above the doorway to the tower.
- Beginning in 1907, when was the Old Bailey School House no
longer used?
- What is the name of the fishing boat that you see on the left
as you head toward the lighthouse?
Any "Found" log entry without the proper photo or answer
e-mailed to me will be deleted.
The gift shop and buildings are open from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00
P.M., 7 days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Open weekends
until Mid-October. The grounds are open year round. Feel free to
visit the gift shop and museum, you can also visit the Old Bailey
School House that was moved here from Mikado Township in 1998,
having been originally built in 1907.
If there are any problems with your log entry, I will e-mail you
post-haste. If you want to receive documentation / pictures of this
site, and have found this cache, send me your e-mail address.
Please note that I am horrible with my response time to e-mails. I
do save all responses and when I feel like it, I send out
reassurance that your log entry is good and further information
about the area. So don't be surprised to get an e-mail from me
several weeks to several months from the time that you found the
cache. If you want more information and I haven't responded to you
fast enough or at all, just send me a nag e-mail about the
Lighthouse. I will bump you up on my priorities list. Thank you for
your patience.
This is a very historic site. Take your time here and walk the
grounds and read the plaques by all the unique items. There's an
old boat, moorings, an anchor and the like around this
lighthouse.
