Geocache Description:

This cache was started by iceman857 on 8/16/2003 and adopted out to me on 4/29/2009. On the date of the switch the cache had 441 total logged visits, 362 finds, 60 DNFs, 12 notes, and 34 posted images. I thank iceman857 for bringing caching to my area a few years back and note that this cache was find number 77 for me. The listing below is unchanged from how iceman857 had it written...

The North side of "Mighty Mac" (i.e., the Mackinac bridge) needed a cache, and this place was perfect. There is a nice interpretive trail that meanders past Father Marquette's memorial and through the woods with a lot of neat stuff to see along the way. The short hike ends at a scenic overlook of the bridge (which is where I put the cache, of course).

The cache container is a bison tube and well hidden. Please be discreet if other people are around, and put the cache back just like you found it.

Driving directions: See the park's web site for details on how to get there. The entrance is at N 45° 51.331' / W 84° 43.871'
