Geocache Description:

The Scottish Cache Bash will be held on Saturday 20th September. The co-ordinates above are not the true location. The correct Lat/Long will be hidden in four caches to be placed before the event.

Currie and Balerno are villages about 6 miles to the southwest of Edinburgh City Centre. Although they have gradually been incorporated into the urban sprawl, they still retain their character and village roots. They also act as a gateway to the walker’s paradise of the Pentland Hills.
Currie is served by good bus and train services from the city centre and you can walk (or jog) to both villages along the picturesque Water of Leith. There is also a large car park at the rear of the location.
The true co-ordinates of the pub car park will be hidden in four new caches to be placed in the vicinity about one week before the 20th September. Two will be within walking distance and hidden around the Water of Leith. The other two will be at the end of pleasant walks towards the Pentland Hills.
The pub itself is child friendly, serves good cheap meals throughout the day and is open from 11 am until 12 midnight. There will be an extra large Tupperware container on the table, so remember to bring a good swap. We will be there to welcome you from 12-30 onwards. There is also limited (cheapish) accommodation available at the pub. Let us know if you wish to book this.
