The "Aletschgletscher"- the longest glacier of the Alps
You can hardly have a better view in the Alps!
During our holidays in Switzerland we visited this beautiful place in 2926,7 m above sealevel. We sat down and looked, and looked, andlooked, .... !!!! We didn´t want to leave. There we had the idea to place a cache. A traditional cache would be nearly impossible because of the crowd coming every day and because of the difficulty to reach the point. So we decided to create a virtual cache.
You start at Fiescheralp ( 2212 m ) and from there you can walk or drive, depending on your condition and time.
If you have reached the highest point take your time to admire the glacier and the mountains. Then look around for the information you need.
On the summit there is a cross.
1) Which year is written on it?
2) With how many screws the digits ( Ziffern! ) of this date are fixed to the cross?
Attention! New!: Please send us a photo of you with GPS in hand in front of the cross!
...and don´t forget: No log without having sent us the answer to our question!
