The trail to the cache is mostly flat. There are usually a fair number of muggles walking this trail, so keep this in mind when searching for the cache.
Good for families who can hike about 2.5 miles (my almost 4 year old completed the hike by himself for the first time when I placed the cache).
Towards the end of the hike (if going clockwise around the lake), there is a viewing platform from which you can observe the nesting ospreys and loons.
At the end of your hike, walk down to the lake from the parking lot and take a swim. The water is clear and refreshing.
