This is a two-part cache, a virtual cache for kids, and a traditional cache for adults. The kid’s cache is rated a * and * the adult a * and ****. The GPS coordinates for the kid’s virtual cache are: N44.59.081 W093.29.881 The area has been partially defoliated.Spring 2004
They are located on the State of Minnesota Luce Line Trail--near the beginning of the popular walking, running, biking, and riding trail that extends for many miles west. Free parking is available on 10th Avenue in the parking lot. Use of the trail is also free. You will enjoy a nice, easy walk down the trail. You may see small animals. Many different birds may also be seen and heard. At the bridge, Gleason Lake presents a very pretty view in both directions. People often fish there.
You may want to rest on the bench nearest the .9 (9/10) mile marker. For the children, this is their virtual cache site. Kids, look at your encrypted clue.
*IF YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN WITH YOU AN ADULT MEMBER OF YOUR PARTY SHOULD WAIT WITH THEM AT THEIR VIRTUAL BENCH CACHE SITE. You may also choose to continue walking with them down the trail to the tunnel.
The adult cache was placed significantly off the trail to minimize the risk of discovery. When you finish please make sure the lid is on tightly and the cache is completely covered. DRESS ACCORDINGLY…pants and long sleeves. There is some grade or slope to contend with. THE AREA HAS CHANGED--THE DENSE FOLAGE HAS BEEN REMOVED. THE CACHE ALSO HAS BEEN MOVED ABOUT 100 FEET WEST, AND A LITTLE SOUTH. The GPS data has been adjusted accordingly.
The contents of this cache are housed in a brown Tupperware lunch box with a white snap-on lid. The original contents were a Geocache introduction sheet, the log book and pen, a small keychain-type flash light, and another larger flashlight, and a handmade pin cushion. Please remember the environment and cache in, garbage out. Thank you, and good caching!
