Geocache Description:

This cache was originally hidden by UltraDude & MsDK. It was adopted on 1/26/2023 by CenTex Preservation in an effort to preserve legacy caches from archival. Below is the original cache description.

It's fun to get of the main trail and see the sights.

Too often we cruise down the main trail without checking out the smaller side trails. For this cache, it is recommended to park on Scottish Woods Trail (N 30° 16.508 W 097° 49.471) and use the "Hill of Life" entrance to Barton Greenbelt. This is a residential neighborhood and has been a safe place to leave your car.

Never heard of the Hill of Life? Well, it's a rocky trail, about a half mile long, and has a gain or loss of elevation (depending which direction you are going) of about 340 feet. It is regularly used both by mountain bikers and trail runners for hill repeat training.

Now on to the cache. When you start at the top of the Hill of Life your GPS may tell you to go down the residential street. Don't go that way because there is no public access down the street. Rather go down the hill looking for a suitable side trail. There will be several to pick from, but one will easier than the others.

The cache is a round "Lookout Mountain, Tennessee & Chattanooga Railroad" tin and originally contained:
"Wicked" hardball,
pinball game,
bluebird of happiness & chick,
lazy frog,
belt buckle,
"Wicked" beer magnet,
Texas yard dog smashed penny,
miniature dog, pig, & hula girl,
25 year USPS service pin, and
a cut down "official" logbook
