The Quest
Your first step will be to head to one of two parking areas that provide the best access to parts one and two of this cache hunt. We recommend 39’27.588N, 76’37.638W, but an alternative is 39’27.650N, 76’37.553W. Once parked, seek out MICRO #1, which is a black film canister Inside the container you will find a small “label” that gives the cache coordinates for Micro #2, which is a relatively short distance away. MICRO #2 is a mini tupperware container which contains the coordinates for the final find, a traditional cache. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE COORDINATES LABELS FROM INSIDE THE CONTAINERS; INSTEAD BRING ALONG A PEN/PENCIL AND PAPER SO YOU CAN WRITE DOWN THE NEXT COORDINATES, OR SIMPLY ENTER THEM INTO YOUR GPS RIGHT AWAY. ALSO BE SURE TO PUT THE MICROS BACK IN A MANNER IN WHICH THEY REMAIN SUFFICIENTLY CONCEALED. At this point we suggest driving to another spot which provides good access to the hiding area of the traditional cache. Some good parking spots can be found by the DEAD END that you can find by taking the coordinates listed for the last cache, and adding 55 to the last three digits of the north coordinates, and subtracting 39 from the last three digits of the west coordinates.
Cache Theme
The final cache, of traditional size, contains a log book, pen and pencil, standard Geocaching.com printout, and FOREIGN COINS. We humbly request that folks that visit the cache bring along foreign currency of coins to exchange if at all possible. If you can’t find that odd Canadian one cent piece floating around your home, just stop by the cache for the fun of it and do a TNLN. Alternately, a Where’s George buck would be close enough to the spirit of the cache as well. Thanks!
WARNINGS!!!
We placed these caches in summer, and would strongly recommend that you wear long pants during times of the year in which brambles and other forms of undergrowth thrive. The nature of some of the areas, especially the hiding location of part #1, vary significantly depending on the time of the year. A few clues, numbered to match each of the three caches, are provided in code below. Please feel free to e-mail us if you get stuck. Hope you enjoy the cache!
Side Note: If you or your young ‘un(s) are skate rats (i.e., skateboarders or extreme rollerbladers), be sure to check out a special nearby site at 39’27.641N, 76’38.023W!
