Geocache Description:

An interesting monument that thousands of travelers and locals fly by, some wondering what that 'thing' is.

This is a double monument. One is to the history of the Jug and bridge (which the Jug was moved away from a while ago) and a plaque that proclaims the visit to Frederick of a world famous dignitary instrumental in the establishment of the United States.

This cache is an easy on/off from I-70, Patrick St exit.

To claim this cache, send an email with the name of the notable who visited Fredrick and the name of the Secry (Secretary) and Surveyor (inscribed about 2/3 of the way up).

For extra credit, why was it called the 'Jug Bridge'??
