Geocache Description:

Anasazi petroglyphs on rocks near the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon National Park.

There are only two ways to get to this virtual: (a) a very difficult hike from the canyon rim, or (b) a river rafting trip down the Colorado river. To get credit for this cache, email me the type of animal depicted on the petroglyph (see photographs for general location of the animal on the rock). These two rocks are an 1/4 mile hike up the side of the Grand Canyon, starting across the river from Tanner Canyon (named after a Mormon settler in the canyon whose trail was called "Horse Thief Trail").

These petroglyphs are over a thousand years old, so please don't touch them. Oils from people's skin may erode the drawings.
