LH 3 - - Travis Park Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Texas Dreamweaver: A BIG THANKS to motexoutlaw for first creating the LH (LunchHour) series waaaay back in the day.

Since this cache was first created both WP1 and WP2 have changed/moved several times. Unfortunately WP1 has indeed changed (yet again) so I am going to archive this one to make
room for other cachers.

Thanks to everyone over the years who has searches for this one. Happy Caching.

Geocache Description:

This cache was originally was created by motexoutlaw. I am proud to be the adoptive cacher for this cache and intend to preserve the integrity of the "devious nature" of this hide. Which simply means...you have been warned. (11-30-06 Rating changed from 2.5 to 3 and attributes added)

This is the third in a series of easy (terrain 1) lunch hour caches--You will not have to contend with many of the hazards encountered in Houston area caching...muddy trails, water, snakes, gators, briars, brambles, poison ivy, etc. Notice, I did not promise the absence of mosquitoes or hot weather. That can only be accomplished by caching indoors with air conditioning. That is not possible to provide.

Please note: Do not disassemble any public property while locating these caches!! It is not necessary in order to find them.

See LH1 for information on the general layout of these lunch hour caches.

This cache is located in a park that has a 10:00 PM curfew. Picnic areas, playgrounds, and restrooms are available.
The first waypoint consists of an everyday object with a THREE embossed letters on it. To translate these letters to the number needed to calculate Waypoint 2: A=1, B=2, C=3, etc. Translate the THREE letters into numbers. Divide the product of these THREE numbers by 16. Let this number be Y.

Use Y in these equations to arrive at Waypoint 2.

A=((Y X 4) - 2)

B=((Y X 5) + 6)

The value (A) should be ADDED to the NORTH coordinates (decimal minutes) of Waypoint 1. The value (B) should be ADDED to the WEST coordinates (decimal minutes) of Waypoint 1. This will give you the coordinates to Waypoint 2 and the final cache, which is a micro container so BYOP. EXTREME STEALTH will be required on the final waypoint if this cache is to continue to exist.
