Geocache Description:

The cache is on a small lake located in the mountains on the North side of the Skeena River.

In the cache you will find the usual:

  • a notepad and a pencil
  • A fishing fly (tied by a friend and not of sufficient quality to sell so he gives them away)
  • and a small knife

For the very fit, access to the lake can be gained by climbing from the railway tracks at Sockeye. The lake can also be met from Rainbow Summit on Highway 16. Launch a canoe or boat at the Rainbow boat launch. There is a flagged trail along Peck Creek to an elevated bog. The cache is located at the foot of a lodgepole pine at the south end of the lake. There is a canoe stored on the lake for your use, but you need to bring your own paddles. Please leave the canoe for others to use. Thanks.
