This cache is now in its 3rd site, after originally to stay down the northern slope of this hill, with å fine view over the Tryvann lakes and cabin.
Tho. Joh. Heftye (GC2HBG3) kjøpte i 1864 området Trevoldskogen (seter for Frogner Gård) ved nåværende Frognerseteren, der Heftyevillaen (GC17P7P) i dag er selve seteren. Han oppførte de to første av i alt fire Tryvannstårn, i 1867 og det andre i 1883. Tårnene ble senere gitt til kommunen.
