The Blinky Bill Softcoal Cache shows the present, Spooky II shows a location where you already can see the future's impact. But what will locations as Spooky II will look like in future? The Siebengebirge cache is one example. The surroundings of the Blausteinsee Cache give another one.
The way is about 15 km long and can be done on foot, by bike or on inline skates. You can take a perambulator with you without problems.
If you want to go to the starting point by bus or rail, you have to go to the main station of Eschweiler (Eschweiler Hauptbahnhof) by train. Continue by bus line EW1 or 48 to the "Eschweiler Bushof" (central bus station). Then take bus line EW2 to the bus stop "Friedhof" or line 6 to the bus stop "Freibad" in direction to "Dürwiß". You can get bus timetable information at www.avv.de.
You can do kiting between the starting point and the lake. You can swim in the outdoor swimming pool nearby (N 50° 50.670; E 6° 16.952) but swimming in the lake is forbidden. Minigolf (N 50° 50.715; E 6° 16.957) and a playground (N 50° 50.175; E 6° 17.038) are nearby as well.
