Geocache Description:

I was going to archive this cache because answers are now easily found on the Internet. But due to it being a rare virtual I have decided to keep it.

BUT I WILL NEED A PICTURE OF YOU IN FRONT OF MEMORIAL.

Please understand. This is to ensure the cache is actually being visited and cachers are not cheating.

Thanks for your understanding.

This is a virtual cache celebrating the 617 squadron, More popularly known as the dam busters.

This memorial celebrates not only the daring raid in germany, but many others, such as the attack on the Turpitz.

It seems fitting that I post this cache as the day it was posted was the very day, 60 years ago, when their daring raid took place over three dams in Germany.

This village is where the 'lads' used to hang out, at what is now, the Petwood hotel. You can find lots of memorabilia at this hotel bar celebrating their local links.

To log this find, will need a picture with you in front of the memorial.

People have been cheating.

Without pics I will have to delete found logs.

Good luck.
