This cache is located in a high point somewhere in the Minho
region. From here you can see land and sea...
One of the most beautiful regions in the north of Portugal, was
chosen to recieve this first cache. The area doesn't have too much
vegetation, but still is very pleasant, with an admirable landscape
all arround. There are two ways to reach this cache: 1st- Drive
from Ponte de Lima to Serra D'Arga, and right after you enter in
Serra D'Arga, park your car at N 41º49,771/O 8º41,097, and walk in
236ºdirection through the street entering the small village. When
you reach N 41º49,793 / O 8º41,408 you'll see in the south
direction a trail climbing the hill. Follow it until a high green
area. All this can be done with a 4x4 vehicle, but go slow and be
very careful as there are some very tricky sections on the way up;
come back on the same trail. 2nd- Drive from Ponte de Lima to Serra
D'Arga also, after you enter in Serra D'Arga proceed until you find
a big cross-road in a slightly high region, turn left heading to N
41º50,704 / O 8º42,708 and park your car below the big tree in
front of the electrical station. Here you start a 4 hour walk
through the hills following the "Chã Grande" trail, correctly
marked on the terrain. After you've walked about 2,5 hours the
trail passes about 30m away from the cache; just climb the hill on
your left. I forgot to leave the stashnote for the Goecache Site,
if you intend to find this cache, please be so kind to take one
with you and place it on. Don't ever forget food and water if
you're going hiking to meet the cache.
