Pu'u Ohia / Tantalus - Panoramic Sweeping 360-Degree
View
This cache has one of the best views of Honolulu (see accompanying
photographs) and can not be missed by tourists or locals. Just a
short hike off of the
Puu
Ohia Trail. Just keep going up and up until you reach a grassy
knoll with a concrete observation platform.
This cache is the start and the finish of the
2003 Hawaiian
GeoCachers Annual TB Race. Hopefully it will be used by
other cachers in the state of Hawaii to start their races and as
intermediary (or finish) points for other cachers around the
world.
Nearest trailheads: park at N21 19.834, W157 49.281 for a half-mile
hike up a service access road, or park at N21 19.850, W157 48.870
for a shorter hike up the trail. These can be reached via Tantalus
Dr. or Round Top Dr.
