Geocache Description:

This virtual cache is located in the hilly section of Marco Island. There are two locations for this cache, the first at the coordinates above, and the second at N25° 55.010 W081° 41.896, about one-half mile North.

The hills of Marco Island are the result of mounds built of sand and discarded sea shells by the Calusa indians when they inhabited the island. They were used for burial purposes and also to raise the land above the tide level. To verify your find of the first one, answer the following question: What was the name of family and the structure built on this hill? For the second location... What was found in this area to make it one of the oldest named places in North America. Please e-mail the answers to these questions to the user. Don't post the answers on your log.
