Barbeque Cache Event in Southern Germany. / Grill-Event-Cache in
Süddeutschland
The idea came up when Nici and Vinnie announced they would be in
Stuttgart during the Linux Days. We plan to have a barbeque
somewhere near Stuttgart. We decided to make it an official Event
Cache. Okay, there seem to be not too many geocachers here in the
South, but why not take advantage of the weekend and come here and
do some of the caches in the area also?
The coordinates above are for a public recreation area with BBQ
grills. Date is next Saturday (7.7.2001). The event goes from
around 6:30pm, open end. You can park your car a few meters away at
N48°40.777' E9°9.085' or you can use the S-Bahn S2 or S3 coming
from Stuttgart. Get off at "Echterdingen" and walk the remaining ~
2.5km or take a bus (direction Waldenbuch) and get off at the last
stop within Echterdingen.
Organizational matters: Please bring your own food. It would be
nice if you could mail me in advance if you plan to come. If you
want me to take care of food and beverages, please tell me so
(refund appreciated). In case it rains: There is a roofed area with
roofed BBQ Grills.
In case the area is occupied or in case it rains, I will
deposit a note at the cache coordinates which will inform of the
alternative location!

Die Idee entstand, als Nici und Vinnie sich für die Linux-Tage in
Stuttgart angekündigt haben. Wir planen irgendwo in der Nähe von
Stuttgart zu grillen und haben uns entschlossen, einen offiziellen
Event Cache draus zu machen. Okay, anscheinend sind nicht
allzuviele Geocacher hier im Su¨den, aber wieso nicht das
Wochenende für einen Ausflug nutzen und dabei auch ein paar Caches
hier im Süden heben?
Die Koordinaten oben sind von einem Grillplatz im Wald. Zeitpunkt
ist nächster Samstag (7.7.2001) ab 18:30 Uhr. Du kannst entweder
ein paar Meter entfernt bei N48°40.777' E9°9.085' parken oder die
S-Bahn S2 oder S3 aus Stuttgart bis "Echterdingen" nehmen und die
restlichen ~ 2.5km laufen oder mit dem Bus (Richtung Waldenbuch)
fahren und an der letzten Haltestelle in Echterdingen aussteigen.
Organisatorisches: Bitte eigenes Essen/Getränke mitbringen. Es wäre
schön, wenn Du dich vorher per email ankündigen könntest. Falls ich
für Essen und Getränke (gegen einen Obulus) sorgen soll, bitte
mitteilen. Bei Regenwetter kann man sich unterstellen, dort gibt's
auch noch Grillstellen.
Falls der Gillplatz bereits belegt ist oder falls es regnet,
werde ich bei den Cache-Koordinaten einen Zettel deponieren, auf
dem der Alternativ-Ort beschrieben ist
