March: The month in which the cache was placed
March: The town near which the cache is located
marsh: March is in the middle of the Fens. Until a few
hundred years ago, these were boggy, marshy lands, mostly under
water, and not terribly well suited to being lived upon or
Geocached upon. A drainage scheme has operated since then, keeping
the land here dry, enabling habitation and excellent farming. A lot
of the land here is below sea level, and can still get quite
marshy!
march: The cache is located a good mile from the nearest
sensible parking place. Hence a march from car to cache
Every year, in the month of March, some die-hard nutters march
from March to Cambridge, and complete the March March
march.
In its honour, and because it's a little wet out on the fens, I
have placed this cache,
The March March marsh march!
Contrived? Yes. Whatever!
The cache itself is a standard ammo box, spray-painted brown. It
is hidden next to the River Nene, on a public footpath. It's near
some old ruined walls, which presumably used to be some farm
building or similar.
Nearest sensible parking is on the corner of the main road at
N52° 32.912' E00° 01.695'. I'm not sure of the
private/public status of tracks closer to the cache, so if you try
to drive closer to the cache, it's on your head!
