Geocache Description:

The name changed for this one about three times. On the way to the cache site we spotted some whales heading up the coast and was tempted to call it “there she blows.”

There are two main approaches to this cache one involves a walk in the forest, which runs along the top of the Illawarra Escarpment. The walk is about 6kms one way with only a few small hills to deal with. The walk is sign posted, the sign at the start has been broken but the frame is still visible (don’t go on the vehicle track in the car park). The walk has information signs along the way, which you should read for clues as well as some seats in appropriate spots. This way has some great views of the coast

The bull at the gate approach is nearly straight up the escarpment. There is a track but can be hard to find. Either way when you reach your destination you will be in for some great views. The views are so good you can see all the way to the Dark Side of the Moon (Capt. Chaos cache).

For those that find walking a bit slow you can ride to the site. However, it is for experienced riders only (single track and some technical sections)
