When I arrived on scene, it was obvious that an altoid tin
magnetic micro was inappropriate.
Federal officers.
At present, only commemoratives and proofs are made here.
Along the four sides of this G.S. Underwood designed 1937
building are 44 bas relief images of coins, largely of the type
‘Commemorative Silver.’ Log this find, complying with the following
2 rules:
1. List the official name and date of coin not done in the last
3 logs.
2. List the side of the building--east, west, north, south.
Optional (no longer a requirement): Add a photo to the
gallery.
Non-complying logs will be deleted. My apologies, if only part
of this info was downloaded with your internet ready device.
Numismatic suggestion: Bring along a library reference (such as
R.S. Yeoman, The Official Red Book: A Guidebook of United States
Coins, Golden Books Pub.), to help identify ones still
available.
Photo suggestions: Zoom lens and photoshop; image with
sufficient contrast (ie, direct sun without shadow = blank image);
if processing regular film and scanning, image two coins.
CAUTION: Security is armed, but they are on the other side of
the fence. Our national alert status is/was Orange. Remember:
SECURITY IS ARMED AND ALERT.
