Geocache Description:

A beautiful view of Superior and Picket Post. Accessible by 2 wheel drive but drive with care. In the years this has been here it has moved MANY times--so never sure where it will be. It started in a pile of rocks that are no longer there-has been everywhere so don't give up, and thanks to all who 'maintain' it for me.

This Cache is NOT located within the borders of this tiny cemetery so please do not disturb anything there. It is, however, an interesting place to explore. We had wanted to put a cache here for some time and were finally motivated to do it now because we found a travel bug that requested placement near a cemetery. The cache is in a green 'tin' with a picture of a clock on the front, appropriate because time is ticking away for all of us. It is 5" x 8" and 2.5 " deep. It contains a large apache tear, a new years noise maker, an Arizona key chain, a 2003 calender, A Superior Historical Society Newsletter with information about Mattie, Some Butterfly's that want to go to Mexico and the Yorick Travel Bug. Take US 60 east toward Superior. You can get to the cache via Hewitt Station Rd & FR8 or from Silver King Mine Road & FR8 just west of Superior. A road will approach the cache from the NE-no need to walk from Hwy 60-there is a road to within a 'few' feet of the cache. If you overstep you will be on the wrong track April 28,04 We checked on the cache today due to report of smashed and ill fitting lid on our unique container. It was indeed too mangled to close properly so we have moved everything to an ammo can and placed it in the same spot. See photo of the original container. November 29th 2012-was notified that the cache container has again been 'downsized' - I guess our ammo can took a hike! Thanks to who ever replaced the missing Ammo can. I no longer have transportation to get to the cache so appreciate maintenance assistance! This was placed Feb of '03 and I am happy to know it is still there and still bringing people to this historic area. March 2021- I am pleased to see that this cache, my very first one, is still around--and around it has been. Originally under a pile of rocks, it has been moved numerous times-and containers changed often-by cachers! I really have no idea where it is now located, but glad to hear it is still being found. Could the next finder please rehide it closer to the coords--Thanks
