Covering the bushfires for german media, i had to visit
this area and was shocked about the enormous power of this
firestorm. Whatever came into his way was destroyed - nothing left.
I placed a cache in this burned-out, surrealistic ground in memory
of this worldwide wellknowen place and put inside the cache a piece
of the eyes that once showed us the infinity of space.
Mount Stromlo was reopened to the public in October 2003. The
cache has therefore been relocated closer to the observatory. The
cache location provides views of the observatory and the
Murrumbidgee River corridor.
