Jacoba's Banff Cache Traditional Geocache

An easy walk from Banff along a well traveled path, this cache is ideal for a family to visit in this beautiful part of the world. It is easily accessible from town, perhaps a half hour mini-hike. Enjoy!

The following paragraph is a short history of the cache to acknowledge its’ original owners.

This cache was hidden on Feb 3, 2003, by film director Patricia Rozema, her daughter Jacoba and friend Sarah with help from the original owner, filmmaker Mary Ungerleider. Mary and Patricia were spending a few weeks in Banff at the Banff Centre while working on the annual “Women in the Director’s Chair” project. During their downtime, Mary, already a cacher, was introducing the other three to the game and thus a cache was born. I (BVPete) adopted the cache in Oct 2008, when distance from home base made it too difficult for Mary to maintain.

Banff Park rules forbid the placement of any trade items or trackables in park caches. There is a strong possibility that some common trade items act as an attractant for animals which is a very bad thing.

SIMPLE SOLUTION IS DON"T LEAVE ANYTHING IN THE CACHE EXCEPT THE LOG BOOKS AND PENCILS
