This cache was placed here back in 2001 and is one of the original caches when caching was in its infancy. Do not try to access the cache area from anywhere other than the park entrance - fines are possible otherwise. You will need to cross the water, but this should be no problem unless it is high. Stay on the trail(s) until you are about 30' from the cache. Watch out for stickers and mountain bikes. Also, as its a good idea anywhere in Central Texas, watch out for snakes. Good Luck!
After crossing the creek and you get to the old homestead, take the trail to the right walking the fence line (homestead should be on your left side). At the next trail intersection take the trail to the right. It is about a mile walk from the parking area with all the zig-zagging that you will be doing to get to GZ.
