Geocache Description:

Park here for the hike to Mine Camp Peak, the highest in Millard County.

Cache is in an Ideal Dairy ice cream container. Contents: log book, pencil and a 1994 Fish Lake in the Fall Mountain Bike Festival t-shirt, size XXL. If you come to Richfield (CTR) stop in at the Ideal Dairy for a treat, perhaps a punch bag.

I gave this cache an overall difficulty rating of 3 because of the distance involved. It was a one+ hour ATV ride from my home. The hike to the Peak is steep but short, about one-half hour. The views are spectacular. Elevation at cache site is 3,054 meters and at the peak is 3,131 meters. There is a log book at the peak, placed there in 1997 by Gordon Macleod and Barbara Lilley of Simi Valley, California, representing the Desert Peaks section of the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club.
