The cache is located in the Phon D Sutton recreation site. The hike is no more than 0.5 miles but BRING WATER!
Head east on the US60 until you get to POWER RD. Then head north on POWER until you reach a sign indicating PHON D SUTTON RECREATION SITE and turn. Head to the first parking area on the left and proceed to park. Once there the trail starts next to the restrooms (On WEST side of parking lot). Head directly from the restrooms towards the water for about 30 feet and you will see the trail heading WEST. Follow that trail to MR SALTYS TREASURE. You will have to leave the trail for about 100 yards in the weeds so wear pants, unless you don't mind a few burrs in your shoes.
UPDATE May 26, 2004: I was just reading throught some of the logs and I am very proud that is has become a "Classic" I set this cache up when I got my GPS and am pleased every time I see someone having a good time out there. Some good pictures from recent visitors! Hope this cache continues to get people out to such a nice area.
