Olde Towne Soda Shop

The Soda History

This building began its operation in 1930 as the Giordano shoe store. Mr. Nunzio Giordano sold and repaired shoes.

Frank Jackson refurbished the building and opened the Olde Towne Soda shop in 1988. He and his family turned the Soda Shop into an iconic location in Olde Towne Slidell. After Hurricane Katrina the Soda Shop was closed for Seven Years but the community asked him to reopen and he did. He retired in 2020.

The new Owners Joshua Roques and Angela Morant Roques took over and reopened after the restrictions of Covid ended in September 2020. They excitedly allowed this cache to be set up in this location. Angela stated "I support any activity that encourages children to get outside" Brandie, the manager also is knowledgeable about Geocaching. She told me that she was making maps for a Governmental agency when Geocaching started! How Cool!

The patio is where the accessible entrance is and an easy find for this cache!!
