Kovan MRT Station  NE13 

Kovan MRT station, part of the North East Line (NEL) in Hougang, Singapore, has been operational since 20 June 2003. Positioned beneath Upper Serangoon Road in the Kovan neighborhood, it serves the surrounding residential developments and is conveniently located near Heartland Mall, as well as the busy Kovan Market and Food Centre.

Kovan was traditionally an area associated with the Teochew community. Kovan's Teochew name is 六块石 "La gou jio", which means six miles from the old General Post Office at Fullerton Building. 

The cache is tucked away in the lively center of Kovan, hidden among the shophouses along the pedestrian walkways. As you explore the area, take in the charm of the suburb. When something red catches your eye, take a break and appreciate the architecture. Skateboarding isn’t allowed, and is it just a coincidence that the grocery store is also painted red?
