Welcome back to Wickham Park and the SCGA's Annual Picnic in the park event. This year promises to be bigger than ever! Not only are we celebrating 18 years of hosting this event but we will also be celebrating Geocaching's 25th anniversary as well. Come out to the park on Saturday January 25th and celebrate 18 years with us and help us make this our biggest event to date on the Space Coast. We are also planning a Friday night campfire event and a Sunday CITO event to add to the fun.
We will have a lot of the normal activities going on, event, raffle, games and more. Be sure to log your will attend so you are sure to see any updates and announcements. We will not have food this year as there is a craft show in the park and lots of food trucks will be there for eating pleasure. We have the park reserved for Friday night, Saturday and Sunday so if anyone would like to tent camp we will once again be offering that for $15.00 per spot for the weekend. The campground is full but you are welcome to park your camper or RV in the Youth area. There will be no hookups ie water or electric but you will have a place to park and there are restrooms and showers available on site. I will post a link to our web site to get more information and to purchase swag. We have decided on the big prize this year and it is going to be huge! A brand new Lectric Bike. Make plans now, it is not far away. We have a ton of stuff to do between now and then but this should be another awesome weekend of fun. If all goes well the weather should be much nicer as well. We hope to see you there.
Log your will attend early so you keep up on the latest news via announcements. Also if you are on Facebook be sure to join our Facebook page for additional information and happenings. We will be doing something fun the day of the event that will take place in the park that you wont want to miss.
Be sure to order your event shirts from our friends over at artedcrafted.com by January 1st. Use code "PICNIC" so it does not charge you shipping. Get yours here: Event Shirt

A tentative schedule of events:
1. What should I bring? chairs as this event continues to grow we wont have enough seating for everyone so bring a chair if you would like to be sure of a seat. Old shoes, it has rained all week and the trails are likely to be wet
2. How do I get the things I ordered? We will have package pick up at the event on Saturday where you can pick up all your items ordered. We may also have them available on Friday in the Youth area near the bonfire event
3. I paid for camping how do I know what site is mine? When you arrive, you will drive down a dirt road back to the youth area. All camping is on the South side (right hand side as you drive in). We will be on site to direct you and confirm you paid for camping. First come first choice of location, no set up directly around the bonfire pit.
4. What is happening the day of the event? Plenty! Event starts at 9:00 am where you can pick up your packages if ordered. The event store and a mini version of the Space Coast store will be open until noon. We have a few other vendors that will be on site as well and they will be open as long as they choose. Poker run and closest to the pin start at 10:00 am. Safari Todd with his exotic animals will be on hand and will be doing a presentation at noon. Photo will take place at 1:00. Raffle and prizes at 1:15. Event officially ends at 3:00 pm. We plan to have some other games and surprises during the day as well.
5. We have adventure labs lining the block around the park that can all be done from the event location
6. There are 50 new caches in the park including the 25 special ones honoring each year of geocaching
We are looking forward to hosting you in our little corner of the Space Coast. We hope you will have a good time.
