Canada Day 2024 at Ribbon Falls will be an opportunity to get out into the fresh air and celebrate Canada Day in the Alpine. There will be plenty of time to find caches in the area before or after the Event!
Geocachers can expect a RT hike of roughly 18 - 20 km with approximately 400 metres of elevation. I would suggest leaving the trailhead between 7:00 and 9:00 am to make to the falls on time. Geocachers have noted a RT time of between 5 and 8 hours for this trek.
There are a few geocache stops on the way up to help mark the trail. Feel free to drop the CO of this event an email if you would like a GPX track for the trail leading to the falls.
Please register for this event by logging your Will Attend with the number of people in your group. If you are feeling ill the day of the event, please stay home.
Event Description:
1. When: Monday, July 1st, 2024 - 11:30 am through 12:00 Noon at Ribbon Falls.
2. Canada Day 2024 at Ribbon Falls will begin at 11:30 am and will last until 12:00 Noon.
3. A group photo will be taken at 11:55 am at Ribbon Falls.
4. At Noon we will clean up the site and head back down to the trail head. Be sure to stay with the group on the way down to enjoy the terrific views and caching stories from the trail!
