The twin suns of Tatooine beat down on Artoo Detoo and 3CP0, their metallic forms shimmering in the heat. May the Fourth was upon them, a day usually reserved for celebratory blasts with scruffy-looking cache herders. But this year, Master Luke had a different mission.
"There is a geocache," Luke explained, his brow furrowed beneath the brim of his moisture farm hat, "which contains a vital part for Ben's new training droid. Apparently, it holds some ancient Jedi knowledge."
Artoo whirred and beeped a series of clicks, his blue photoreceptor flashing. 3CP0 listened, turned, and said "Interesting coordinates, Master Luke."
"May the Fourth be with us," Luke said, "we better find this artifact before the suns cook us all."
Armed with cryptic coordinates and a repurposed moisture evaporator as a signal detector, the galactic cachers embarked on their geocaching adventure. May the Fourth was about to take a decidedly eventful turn.

This event cache is an opportunity to get together on May The Fourth for a little chat, and to help our heroes find their artifact...in other words, there will be a scavenger hunt to collect clues with which one lucky cacher will win an unactivated themed geocoin. There will also be a prize draw at the end of the event, open to all attendees, for another unactivated geocoin. Winners must be present to collect their prizes. A log book will be available to sign for those so inclinded. Nearby off-street parking is available (see waypoints). If the weather is wet, instead of the end of the dock we will meet under the picnic shelter indicated in the alternate waypoint.
NOTE: Attending and logging this event will qualify for the 2024 Blue Switch souvenir!
