Sunday Morning Hiking Series #135
Stansbury Front Trail
7:45 am - 8:15 am
Series Description
We will meet at the posted coordinates from 7:45-8:15 am to chit chat and have a breakfast beverage and donuts/bagels. That's the event. After the event, anyone who would like to may put on a pack and join a hike from the trailhead near the posted coordinates. Check out the linked list on the right or here for more information about the series across the years. As always this is a social hike. Emphasis is on being social, not racing to the top. Non-cachers are always welcome, however; it's a caching hike. If there's a cache along our path, we are stopping for it. Keep an eye on the weather and plan your gear accordingly. Water and sunscreen are always "must have"s for everyone. Other gear will vary depending on preferences and weather.
Post-Event Hike Information
Huge thanks to davehike for suggesting the trail. We will park at the Medina Flat Trailhead and head north along the trail. Dave has provided a pretty steady line of caches along this trail filling the gaps between existing caches and describes the hike as "... steep the first couple hundred yards and then mostly a trail along the side of the mountain." Dogs are welcome on the trail. Be aware there is motorcycle and ATV traffic along the intersecting roads but not on the trail itself. There are also plenty of caches along the roads for your drive in or out. This will be a there-and-back hike. How far to there? Whatever we feel like doing!
Come out and join the Seventh Day Adventurists for talk of trails past, plans for future adventures, and breakfast!!
(The name Seventh Day Adventurists has no religious affiliation. We're just a group of cachers who like to have adventures on Sundays. Read the introduction to the list of hikes for the full story on the name.)
