Geocache Description:

Geocachers Have Talent

Calling all geocachers near and far.  We are having a talent show and we need your help to put on the show.  Can you dance, sing, twirl a baton, recite the Gettysburg Address backwards, stand on your head, play an instrument, do the hula-hoop, preform magic, jump rope 500 times without missing, or sound like an auctioneer; the possibilities are endless, you could even teach us something like an origami craft if that is your talent.

If you are willing to participate, you can message me through the log and I will contact you to see what you are willing to do, or you can message me directly through the geocaching website.  Please do not list your talent in the log, we want people to be surprised when they realize just how talented you are

Rules:

  1.  You must be a geocacher to participate or at least one member of a group must be a geocacher.
  2. All acts must be registered by July 20th, three weeks prior to the event, to allow us time to fine tune the schedule, etc.
  3. To register, you must know what you would like to do.  We cannot hold a place for anyone, or group without full details on what act will be preformed or by how many performers there will be. Ex. (Allowed) There will be a quartet singing and we will have our own accompanist, or we will need an accompanist.   Ex. (Not Allowwed) Oh, I think I want to participate but I’m not sure what I want to do yet, I will let you know when I decide, and I may have a few more people do something with me.
  4. All acts must be clean, safe, and family friendly.  The show will be held in a church basement and appropriate attire and content will be enforced.
  5. If you need anything special for your act, you must provide it, take care of it, and clean up after your act.  For example, a magic act would have to bring everything needed and clear the area after the act.
  6. To allow everyone who wants to preform to do so, there will be a time limit of no more than 5 minutes for each act.
  7. Acts will be assigned a slot on a first come first served basis unless you ask to be put in a certain spot.  I will try to get a schedule sketched out as a tentative line up.

There are no age limits and no one is going to boo or laugh at anyone who isn't supposed to be laughed at.  This is just a fun way to get to know each other better and just have a good time.  Should you need an accompanist I know a great piano player who can pretty much play anything and follow anyone.

A light lunch will be held at the beginning of the event and we ask that, if possible, you bring something to contribute.  Meat and Beverages will be provided.

The church has a piano, refrigeration, and restrooms.   Parking is across the street from the front of the church.  You, however, will enter at the side door or back door depending on where you park.

While there will not be any judging of the talents, there will be prizes awarded throughout the event.

Of course, spectators are also needed so come and join us even if you don't want to share your talent.

Hope to see you there!

More details will be provided as the time draws nearer.
