Since we love the great outdoors, it is our gameboard after all, here is an opportunity to show our love in one of the St. Charles County Parks. The St. Charles County Park Rangers are hosting a "stream cleanup" in Broemmelsiek Park and they could use our help. We will assist the park staff in cleaning up the waterways along Betty's Lake from 4:30 to 6:30 on April 15th.
What better way to celebrate tax day. And, as a bonus you can earn a CITO Season 1 souvenier!
We will be doing some little light duty cleanup such as picking up a fast-food wrapper here, a soda can there—all to help keep the waterways in St. Charles County parks healthy and looking beautiful! Not only is trash an eyesore, but it can hurt the environment and the animals that call our parks home.
Be sure to dress for the weather, bring a water bottle and wear sturdy shoes or boots; no flip flops or sandals. Trash is messy! Wear something that can get dirty. Long pants and insect repellent are recommended. Also remember you may encounter uneven surfaces, mud, rocks, and various other tripping hazards.
