Torna l’ora legale 2024 a marzo: quando spostare le lancette e perché l’orario cambia di notte
Roma, 5 marzo 2024 – Torna l’ora legale e con sé porta due notizie: una buona e una cattiva. Partiamo dalla seconda: dormiremo un’ora in meno, ma in compenso le giornate si allungheranno. E con l’arrivo della primavera e delle belle giornate potremo goderci più tempo all’aria aperta. Ma andiamo al dunque: quando dovremo spostare le lancette un’ora avanti? L’ora X sarà nella notte a cavallo tra sabato 30 e domenica 31 marzo, che coincide con la Pasqua. Alle 2 in punto andrà reimpostata l’ora.
Quanto dura
L’ora legale nel 2024 resterà in vigore dal 31 marzo al 27 ottobre, quando si ritornerà all’ora solare. In quella data dovremo ricordarci di spostare le lancette indietro di un’ora.
Perché cambia di notte
Il principale motivo del cambio notturno è che questo è l’orario con minor circolazione dei mezzi pubblici. Il disagio così è minore.
La storia
In Italia l’ora legale fu introdotta per la prima volta durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale, nel 1916, per questioni legate al conflitto. Dopo molti tira e molla, in Italia è diventata definitiva nel 1966. Tra i motivi principali dietro la scelta di adottare un simile cambiamento nella misurazione del tempo c’è, molto semplicemente, il risparmio energetico.

Let's start from the second: we will sleep an hour less, but on the other hand the days will get longer. And with the arrival of spring and beautiful days we will be able to enjoy more time outdoors. But let's get to the point: when should we move the hands forward an hour? Hour X will be on the night between Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st March, which coincides with Easter. The time will be reset at 2 o'clock.
How long does it last
Daylight saving time in 2024 will remain in effect from March 31st to October 27th, when we will return to standard time. On that date we will have to remember to move the hands back one hour.
Because it changes at night
The main reason for the night change is that this is the time with the least public transport circulation. This way the discomfort is less.
History
In Italy, summer time was introduced for the first time during the First World War, in 1916, due to issues related to the conflict. After many backs and forths, it became definitive in Italy in 1966.
