After three successful CITOs last year at the cemetery, I thought it time for another one. I plan to continue this as a regular event with the Friends of South Brisbane Cemetery ‘Guardian Angels’.
Come along and join a happy group of volunteers by tidying up the beautiful historic cemetery at Dutton Park. We will be removing litter and some tree debris plus cleaning graves.
Where: South Brisbane Cemetery, Dutton Park
When: Sunday 15 May, 2024
Time: 9am-10am (duration 1 hour)
Parking is available within the cemetery grounds or, if you live on the NW side, you can easily park at UQ and walk across the Eleanor Schonell Bridge. Meet at the office in the centre of the cemetery to sign on.
Bring a pair of gloves (though they can be provided), wear a hat and bring a bottle of water. Rakes and brooms could also be useful but again, the Friends of South Brisbane Cemetery ‘Guardian Angels’ do have them.
