The camping dates for your diary are:-
12:00 12th July 2024 - 12:00 14th July 2024
The actual event will occur on 13th July 2024 from 14:00 until 18:00.
This year the Surrey Cachers Camping Weekend and Event once again returns to Longacres campsite in beautiful Surrey. There are many caches, cache series and Adventure Lab Caches within a short journey of the campsite . The site is ideally situated for easy access to the North Downs, Sussex and Kent.

We will be camping from the 12th to 14th July, although some will be on site a day earlier and stay a day later. The event will be held on 13th July 2024 from 14:00 until 18:00. During the event we will hold the annual competition to find the Biggest Tosser in Surrey (aka tossing the cache container). There will be medals and prizes for winners in the mens, womens and childrens (U14) categories. During and after the event we will be having a tea party. Bring a chair, something to eat and drink and join in the fun. Those who enjoy baking are welcome to bring along a cake or 3!
There won't be an offsite meet this year, if you wish to come to the campsite and visit, day visitors are welcome.
Booking: We have a number of electric pitches reserved for "the Geocaching group" in the Meadows field as usual. When making your booking please make it clear that you’re part of our group to get the rates listed below and to ensure you get a pitch in the right area. You can book by calling the campsite directly on the number given above, by email (reccomended) to info@longacrescamping.co.uk or by visiting the site in person to make your booking. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THE WEBSITE, YOU MIGHT NOT GET OUR RATES
Please note: The campsite have told us that they have had a lot of bookings and enquiries and they need a small deposit to secure pitches ASAP. They have made it clear that they will only hold pitches for us for a very short period. Later bookings stand a risk of being pitched elsewhere on the site, if any pitches are still available.
When logging your intent to attend on this event page, can you please also state the number of adults, children and dogs and the nights that you will be camping.
Pricing/Costs
Electric pitch including two adults - £34.00 per night
Electric pitch including one adult - £28.00 per night
Non-electric pitch including two adults - £29.00
Non-electric pitch including one adult - £23.00
Extra adult per night - £7.00
Child per night (2-15) - £5.50
Dogs per night - £1.00
The deposit required is 25% (minimum deposit £31.00) with the balance to be paid 2 weeks before arrival
If you plan to bring more than one vehicle camping, please let the campsite know beforehand. (It might incur an additional charge as the campsite is trying to discourage "turning the campsite into a car park" However if you're polite and accommodating which I know you all are, then I'm sure some arrangement can be agreed upon.
Other Info:
BBQ's - are permitted, but must be off the ground.
Fires - Permitted only in a safe container which must be raised from the ground (i.e. BBQs/firepits/firebowls) with all fires, including BBQs, always keep a bucket of water handy (bring your own bucket). The campsite can supply brick to protect the grass and will sell firewood if they have any.
Dogs - are allowed on site but need to be kept on a lead(s).
