In the pre-pandemic days, the Downtown Seattle Geocachers used to meet every month or so to get together for some geochat. These days the majority of folks who work in the area are based more at the South Lake Union end of the city center and we're going to try and revive the tradition.
This spot is under cover so it is a bit protected if it rains. There are a few chairs and picnic tables available for anyone who wants to bring a lunch and sit down to chat. There are also occaisional food trucks that stop at this spot, though not every day. There are numerous restaurants in the area that offer take-out service as well.
For those driving to the event, street parking is available, but can be hard to find. There are nearby pay lots where parking is plentiful but more expensive. Bus service is excellent to this area with several Rapid Routes stopping within a few blocks.
