• The Land Steward for the Wilderness Center has found another large dumpsite and is asking for our help! We will be working off trail at Zoar Woods. Many years of agricultural waste has left an assortment of tires, farm equipment, appliances, bicycles and general waste.  All of this was just dumped over the side of a hill with the out of sight out of mind mentality. Unfortunately, this dumpsite sits right next to a vernal pool that provides food and water to countless animals, but is also an active breeding site for frogs, toads, & other amphibians.  TWC will provide the tools, drinks, and snacks, all we need is you!  

• Please dress prepared to walk off trail. 

• Gloves and bug spray would be a good idea to bring

• Meet in the parking area, and we will hike to the site together

• Driving Directions:

  Take County Rd. 82 south from Zoar or north from Dover. Turn west on Township Road 380 (Blacksnake Hill Rd.). At the fork, stay right to continue on Ruslin Hills Rd. The parking area will be 1/2 mile west of the fork on your right
