Hello everyone,
I've always wanted to host something in this part of town, and think with the warm weather we've had lately, a CITO is a perfect way to visit what's one of the most serene parts of Central Toronto.
I also began geocaching in April of 2014, so this is a fitting way to celebrate ten years.
This event is being hosted in what's locally called the Leslie Spit (Or the Spit), or officially, as Tommy Thompson Park. It's a short jaunt from Cherry Beach, and home to a great deal of wildlife and people enjoying the peaceful landscape that's surrounded by the lake. I've come here several times over the years for photography walks, and later on to geocache, and always left with a good memory. With recent renovations by the entrance, this park is home to more easily accessible parking and some wayfinding signage.
We'll be meeting at a confluence of trails, around the middle of the park.
Garbage bags and gloves will be provided. Feel free to bring by some TB's for exchanging.
Trails and parking in the area are listed for this event, although regarding the latter, you could try your luck at parking on city streets nearby.
