GEOHUNT WITH JEFF -- THE PRE-GEOHUNTIN' SCHMOOZE-FEST

Afterward, beginning at 10 am, those who want to do the GeoHunt will head out....see below

A number of people have told me that they would LOVE to tackle The Miami GeoHunt, my mega-puzzle-geocache designed to mimic and honor the experience of participating in The Herald Hunt / Tropic Hunt....but that they feel intimidated by it. Wouldn't it be nice if you could go for the GeoHunt in a group...with the CO tagging along to make sure you succeed????

Well, at 10 am today after the schmoozefest, that's exactly what can happen!! I'm inviting anyone who wants to work on -- and SOLVE -- The Miami GeoHunt to team up to work on it together! I will come along with you to all stages, so if everyone is stuck and collectively asks for hints, I will make sure to nudge you in the right direction!

Before we depart, from 9:30 - 10:00 we're going to have a 30-minute schmooze fest, where geocachers new and old can chat, swap geocaching stories, give hints and tips on their own caches, share trackables, and make general merriment! You do NOT have to participate in the GeoHunting that will start at 10 am in order to attend the Pre-Huntin' Schmooze Fest...the pre-event is open to all! 😃

The posted coordinates are where we'll all congregate. Location is the east side of the nearby skate park. I've chosen this location because (a) it's near two of the stages for The Miami GeoHunt, and (b) there is a nice shade tree here along with nearby benches.

If you do plan to join in the GeoHunt search party, I strongly urge you to print out the full GeoHunt cache description (including pictures)...having that printout (along with a pen and a cell phone) will be a lot more useful then relying solely on the cell. The GC code for The Miami GeoHunt is GC9R7HW. If anybody who wants to participate does not have access to a printer, let me know by private message and I'll print out a copy for you.

At 10 am, we'll make a brief game plan and then will work on the two nearby puzzles...then we'll all hop into our respective geovehicles and will drive to The Falls shopping center, where the other three stages are located. Bring water, sunhats, umbrellas, sunscreen, mosquito repellant and/or mosquito-resistent clothing, nibbles, and footwear made for walkin' (there will be some trekking involved between stages at the Falls and at the final -- also, note that the ground at the final is usually dry unless there's been torrential rain beforehand, in which case there might be some wet-footin'). My guess is that we'll be GeoHunting for 2.5 - 4 hours total.

😃🤪🧐😎 Cache, Shmooze and GeoHunt On!!!!! 😃🤪🧐😎
